The charming town of Pietrasanta has temporarily transformed its beautiful Dome square to host one of the most impressive exhibitions of contemporary art. Dedicated to one of the major sculptors in the world, Igor Mitoraj, the exhibition delivers great emotions to the visitors. Majestic sculptures , selected, among the most representatives of the Maestro, are scenically placed among olive trees, and remind us of the greatness of the sculptor, who worked ,and loved this little town so much.

An unmissable rendez-vouz for all the Opera lovers takes place every summer at Torre del Lago, a little village on the shores of a romantic lake, close to Viareggio. It is the place where the great Maestro Giacomo Puccini lived, and composed many of his operas. Its house is nowadays a museum, and faces the enchanting open air theatre , built on the lake, and which has been dedicated to him. Feast of Sant’Ermete
The Feast of Sant’Ermete is one of the most anticipated events at Forte dei Marmi.
The varied program begins in August 26th with the Palio dei Bagni and a parade in historical costume with flag-wavers. On August 27th are scheduled open games of ‘Tombola’ in the streets of the city, folk bands performances and the traditional “focata”. On August 28th the streets of Forte dei Marmi will be invaded by a market with objects and curiosities of all kinds and the inevitable gourmet items. And of course, the end will be celebrated with fireworks launched from the pier, with the reflection of the waves from the sea, for a truly unforgettable experience.
